This time in Normandie I went too far. I like to try new and weird stuff, but this tripe sausage baked over camembert and apples was almost more than I could take. I could smell it coming to the table and I was scared. It wasn't that bad, but it wasn't very good either. I might take a little break from the weird stuff and eat normal stuff I crave.

Eegad. Shouldn't have looked at your blog early in the morning! But you are a brave soul. Much braver than I. Despite growing up in France, I would never order andouillette or anything tripe-related.
OK, ew. That looks like... well, I won't say. I'm sure you thought the same thing. Good for you for trying it, though! :-)
I was cracking up when I read this post. Rob is like you & always tries the weirdest thing on the menu. He too ordered tripe in France. He barely got one bite down. We actually had to ask them to remove the plate from our table since the smell was ruining my lunch - which was delicious.....
