My husband treated me to a special mother's day treat and wow! Best ribs I ever ate. He used the Cook's Illustrated recipe, which is members only, so I don't feel comfortable reposting it here. But I highly recommend subscribing to their website.

That's an interesting question: when can we reproduce a recipe and when not? Yes membership is required to Cooks, but then a recipe from a book was paid for too. If you give full credit and clearly mark your changes to the recipe, isn't that good enough? What about quoting recipes from blogs? I like to publish the entire recipe on my site (just in case a blog is discontinued), but feel guilty cutting-and-pasting to my blog. I assume it's OK if you put quotation marks and the right links...
